The following is the original, new product description. In contrast to the DD200X, the DD220X offers an enhanced playing experience through the inclusion of a 10 snare. The increase in size enhances the realism of the kit by recreating the similar response of hitting a snare. Coming complete on its own snare arm, you'll be free to adjust its placement to find the drum set-up that's right for you. Another key upgrade on the DD220X is the kick drum. Instead of a footswitch style pedal, the drum kit provides an 8 mesh pad that helps to mimic the feel of a traditional kick drum. This can be easily attached to the frame via the include mounting bracket, allowing the pad to remain firmly in place at all times - even for the most animated performers. Whilst most electronic drum kits in this price range include rubber drum pads, the DD220X boasts mesh. Specifically chosen for the realistic stick response and bounce they provide, you'll find this is closer to the feel you'd get when hitting an acoustic drum kit.

The ability to become acquainted with the dynamics and feel of a full size kit will ensure that when ready, your transition from digital to acoustic kit will feel seamless. The DD220X includes two vertical bars situated on either side of the drummer. Their inclusion provides greater overall support for the drum kit, without having to compromise on storage and set-down space.

The kick pedal offers a handy clamp system that allows it to be attached to the mesh pad to ensure it remains firmly in place, even for the most animated drummers. The DD220X offers maximum tone and body from the comfort of your headphones. This means you can practice when you like, however you like, without disturbing those around you. The velocity sensitive nature of each pad produces a wide range of tones, depending on how hard you hit the drum pads. This is an excellent way to explore a key fundamental to good drumming - feel, allowing you to establish a style of playing unique to you.

In addition to the headphone input, the DD220X also has left and right MONO outputs which can be used for connecting and amplifying the kit through an amp or PA. Ideal for full-volume practice when the neighbours are away! The USB port expands on the already powerful capabilities of the drum kit, allowing you to connect to your computer. From here you'll be able to broaden the realms of sonic possibilities by using the kit to trigger third party virtual drums in your DAW. This allows you to capture virtual drum performances with a human touch. You can even use the LINE IN to play along to your favourite artists and singles by connecting your laptop or tablet device.
